What is the KELRN MTB Classic?

The KELRN MTB Classic is an annual mountain biking and trail running event hosted at Holsdam Farm near Barkly West. The event brings riders, runners, families, and supporters together for a weekend of outdoor adventure, community spirit, and entertainment. Most importantly, it supports child welfare organisations in the Northern Cape through the “Wheels for Charity” initiative.

Why do we do what we do

Founded in 1976, Kelrn Transport has evolved from transporting its own produce to becoming a leading logistics provider in South Africa. Committed to community support, founder Kenne de Kock started the Kelrn MTB Classic in 2012 to aid child welfare in the Northern Cape. The event, organized by Kenne, Joy de Kock, and their staff, marked its 12th anniversary in 2025 with 425 entrants, raising R750,000 rand for seven child welfare beneficiaries.

The annual Kelrn MTB Classic aims to sustainably support child welfare through the efforts of sponsors, Kelrn personnel, and public benefit organizations.
